Raising money for Ukraine 

A group of young people from ‘Young Saints’ the youth group in Great Chesterford, have had a taste of what it might be like to have to sleep rough. The young people (Year 6-Year 9) have been sponsored to sleep in the village’s church, All Saints, for one night, which happened to be when temperatures dropped to -1. The group have so far raised £500 for the Red Cross which is supporting refugees from Ukraine. ‘The group have just completed the Christian Youth Alpha course and wanted to put their faith into action and they have been determined to do something for the people of Ukraine. It is not too late to donate if you would like to support the young people’s efforts,’ said youth group leader Caroline Jeewan.
