Holy Trinity has a small, friendly congregation meeting in a large historic building. Our different Sunday services offer something for everyone.
Our Sunday Services
January 2021 Update to Sunday services during COVID-19 lockdown
Owing to the current levels of Coronavirus and nationwide lockdown, the CamVillages churches are only meeting together via Zoom at 10am each Sunday until further notice. On the 3rd Sunday of the month, iChurch (the all-age family service from Great Chesterford) will be held by Zoom where possible. There are also services from St Mary’s, Saffron Walden which are broadcast via YouTube which you are welcome to watch. Please see our "This Week" page to find out more details about current events.
Our normal pattern of services is as follows:
With the exception of the first Sunday in the month, services start at 11.00am. On the first Sunday in the month Café Church is held at 9.45am for 10.00am, with breakfast followed by activities for all ages and a short service at 10.30am. Everybody is welcome.
The “Prayer for Littlebury” group meets every Thursday afternoon. We are very fortunate to have an active “Friends of Holy Trinity Church” who raise funds to help maintain our fine historic building and churchyard.
Our Church History
The oldest surviving parts of the church are the nave and south door, dating from around 1200. The construction is of flint rubble with detailing in clunch (a soft chalk). However, the church as we see it now is very much the product of a major restoration project in the 1870s, when the chancel and chancel arch were completely rebuilt; new windows, pulpit, choir stalls and pews installed, and a variety of other details added.
